Cashhive — Fraud & Enforcement Policy

Version: 0.1-beta · Last updated: 2026-08-11 · Effective date: [NOT YET IN FORCE]

This policy is part of the Cashhive Terms of Service. It explains what counts as fraud or abuse, how we detect it, the penalties we apply, and — just as importantly — the limits on those penalties and your right to appeal to a human. Coin mechanics (holds, reversals, clawback limits) are in the Points & Rewards Policy; data handling is in the Privacy Policy.

Our enforcement principles: penalties are graduated and proportionate; forfeiture targets fraudulent earnings only; every action comes with notice and a reason; every action can be appealed to a human within 30 days; investigation holds are time-bounded, never indefinite.

1. Why This Policy Exists

Fraud on a rewards platform is not a victimless game. Advertisers claw back fraudulent conversions, partners cut payout rates or terminate publishers, and honest users end up with fewer offers and worse rates. We enforce these rules to keep the platform paying reliably for everyone.

2. The Rules (User-Facing)

Do:

Do not:

  1. Create or control more than one account (one per person, device, and household — see Terms of Service §3.1 for the household-exception process).
  2. Use VPNs, proxies, or geo-spoofing to hide or misrepresent your location, or to access Cashhive from an unsupported or excluded territory.
  3. Use bots, scripts, emulators, virtual machines, or automation to earn.
  4. Give false survey answers, speed through surveys without reading, or contradict your own profile to qualify for more surveys.
  5. Complete deposit/purchase offers and then charge back or instantly refund the payment.
  6. Self-refer or refer accounts you control; run referral spam.
  7. Cash out to a payout destination used by another Cashhive account or not your own.
  8. Evade a ban by re-registering.

3. What We Detect

We describe our detection at the level of categories — enough for you to know what is monitored, without publishing a manual for evading it:

Category Signals we use (examples)
Multi-accounting & ban evasion Device fingerprints, IP overlap, shared payout destinations, registration patterns
Location misrepresentation IP geolocation, VPN/proxy/datacenter IP detection, mismatches between declared country, IP history, and payout country
Automation Device/browser integrity signals, interaction patterns, emulator/VM markers, velocity anomalies
Survey fraud Partner-reported quality flags (speeding, inconsistency, gibberish), profile contradictions over time
Offer fraud Advertiser reversal reports (fake installs, refunded deposits, chargebacks), completion-time anomalies
Payout abuse Name/destination mismatches at KYC, duplicate destinations, sanctions-list screening
Referral abuse Self-referral linkage (device/IP/payment), referral velocity anomalies

We also receive fraud reports from our offerwall partners (ayeT-Studios, Torox, CPX Research, BitLabs) and their advertisers, and may share pseudonymous fraud signals with them for the same purpose (see Privacy Policy §§2–3).

Detection output is a signal, not a verdict. Account-level penalties from Level 3 up (Section 6) are applied with human review, and every penalty is appealable to a human (Section 9).

4. Verification Checkpoints

Checkpoint What happens
Registration Email + phone verification; DOB (18+) gate; country declaration; geo/IP screen against excluded territories
First cashout Manual review during beta: payout destination in your own name, duplicate-account screen (device/IP/payment)
$200 cumulative payouts (or risk signals) ID + selfie verification (manual review during beta; via KYC processor after beta — see Privacy Policy §§1, 6 for handling and deletion)
$2,000 cumulative payouts per calendar year (US users) Tax form collection (W-9/W-8) — see Terms of Service §11
Large or unusual cashouts OFAC SDN list screening; enhanced review

5. Velocity Limits and Circuit Breakers

To limit the blast radius of coordinated fraud, we operate per-user daily cashout caps and a platform-wide daily payout circuit breaker. If a circuit breaker delays your cashout, it completes automatically once volumes normalize — this is a queue, not a penalty, and it does not touch your balance.

6. The Penalty Ladder

Penalties are graduated. For first-time, low-severity issues we start at the top of this ladder; we skip levels only for the severe cases listed below.

Level Penalty What it means
1. Warning Written notice, no balance impact We tell you what we saw and what to change. Recorded on the account.
2. Investigation hold Affected coins (or cashouts) frozen, max 30 days Bounded review period — see Section 7. If the review clears you, everything is released with no record of wrongdoing.
3. Forfeiture of fraudulent earnings only Coins traced to the violation are removed Itemized: which offers, which amounts, which reason. Legitimate earnings are untouched. Balance never goes below zero (Points & Rewards Policy §6.2).
4. Ban Account permanently closed Reserved for serious or repeated violations. Confirmed coins not connected to the violation remain redeemable per Section 8.3, except for fundamentally fraudulent accounts.

Severe cases where we may go straight to Level 3 or 4: bot/emulator operation, chargeback fraud on deposit offers, stolen payment instruments, sanctions matches, ban evasion, or organized multi-account rings. Sanctions matches are handled as the law requires and may not be appealable on the merits [LAWYER: confirm handling and notice constraints for sanctions blocks].

7. Investigation Holds (Bounded)

  1. A hold under Level 2 lasts at most 30 days from the notice date.
  2. In complex cases (e.g., waiting on an advertiser's chargeback records) we may extend once, by up to 15 days, and only with a written notice stating why.
  3. When a hold expires without a finding against you, held coins are released automatically and the case is closed.
  4. Holds freeze the coins in question; they do not stop you from earning, and they never touch coins outside the investigation's scope. One exception: where an account shows severe fraud signals (the cases listed in Section 6) and is under active investigation, we may also suspend new earning on that account until the investigation concludes — bounded by the same 30-day limit and single 15-day extension above, and stated in the hold notice.
  5. These investigation holds are separate from the per-offer pending windows in the Points & Rewards Policy §5.

8. What Forfeiture Does — and Does Not — Mean

  1. Forfeiture removes only coins we determine were earned through the violation, itemized in your account history and in the notice we send you.
  2. We never forfeit legitimately earned, confirmed coins for unrelated violations. Example: if you self-referred but your survey earnings are clean, the referral bonuses are forfeited — the survey earnings are not.
  3. If an account is banned, remaining confirmed coins that are not connected to the violation stay redeemable (one final cashout at or above the minimum, KYC permitting) — except where the account itself was fundamentally fraudulent (bot-operated, ban-evasion, stolen identity, or sanctions block), in which case no payout is made.
  4. Forfeiture never takes your balance below zero, and we never invoice you for reversed advertiser spend — the Points & Rewards Policy §6 clawback limits apply.

9. Appeals — Your Path to a Human

  1. Window: 30 days from the date of our enforcement notice.
  2. How: email appeals@joincashhive.com from your registered address (a web form will replace this after beta). Tell us what happened in your own words and attach any evidence (screenshots, receipts, completion confirmations).
  3. Who reviews: a human reviewer — during beta, the operator personally. Automated systems flag; humans decide appeals.
  4. What we show you: the reason category, the affected offers/amounts, and a summary of the evidence relied on — as much detail as we can give without publishing our detection methods.
  5. Response time: we aim to respond within 10 business days; if we need longer we will say so and why.
  6. Outcomes: upheld (with explanation), partially reversed, or fully reversed — reversal restores coins and deletes the penalty from your record.
  7. Escalation: one written escalation is available if you believe the appeal decision missed evidence; it is reviewed fresh.
  8. Missing the 30-day window forfeits the appeal absent good cause (e.g., documented hospitalization).

10. Sanctions and Legal Compliance

We screen registrations and cashouts against excluded territories (Terms of Service §2.3) and screen larger cashouts against the OFAC SDN list. Where sanctions law applies, we must block first and may be limited in what we can tell you. We cooperate with valid legal process from law enforcement; see the Privacy Policy §3 for what we disclose and when.

11. Evidence and Record Retention

Record Retention Where defined
Anti-fraud logs (device, IP, velocity) 12–24 months rolling Privacy Policy §6
Enforcement case files (notices, evidence summaries, appeal decisions) 24 months after case closure; life of ban for banned accounts; forfeiture and other AML-relevant case files: 5 years This policy; Privacy Policy §6
Ban records (minimal identifiers to prevent re-registration) Duration of ban Privacy Policy §6
Cashout/KYC/AML decision records 5 years Privacy Policy §6

We retain enforcement evidence long enough to give you a meaningful appeal and to meet AML expectations — and no longer.

12. Changes

Material changes to this policy follow the Terms of Service §16 notice rules (30 days, prospective). Conduct is judged under the policy in force at the time of the conduct.
